Meet the team

We use a patient approach that focuses on their entire body and well-being, not just a body part. The one-on-one treatment model allows us to fully dive into what the patients issues and needs are. It allows us time to be fully present and provide care that is both efficient and effective for the patient.

Dr. Matt Chan, PT, DPT, OCS

-Matt received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Stony Brook University (2018) and B.S in Exercise Science from the University of Pittsburgh (2015). He is a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties.

-As a very active kid growing up playing soccer and lacrosse, Matt always knew that he wanted to work with active individuals.

-After working many years in traditional physical therapy clinics, Matt realized that the traditional model was just not enough. Not enough for patients and not enough for him. He realized that a patient-centered model with one on one time allowed for the best possible care and outcomes for the patients.

-Matt wants to build real meaningful relationships with his patients. He not only wants to be their physical therapist, but also a trustworthy mentor and advocate for a healthy and active lifestyle.

-He uses a proactive approach to patient care, going beyond the limitations of traditional physical therapy clinics. His goal is not only to restore functionality but also to empower patients to return to their chosen sports or lifestyle activities at the highest level.

-Matt has experience and has helped many people with different orthopedic injuries. He has training in many different manual therapy techniques, spinal manipulation, and strength training. As a CrossFit Level 1 trainer, he is an active member in the CrossFit community and also coaches classes.

-He is happily married to his wife, Domonique. He also has a mini Bernedoodle, Hank. When Matt is not working, you can find him fishing, golfing, working out, or on the east end beaches of Long Island. He is a big foodie and is always willing to try new foods.

Don’t let injuries or pain hold you back from living the life you want to live.
